HAN GLOW: A Journey from Seoul and Paris to the Middle East
How two lifelong paths met to build a brand that connects beauty, language, and culture.
“Why do I have to learn English, Mum?”
As a child, TaeEun Kim never imagined she would one day speak foreign languages, live abroad, or build a brand connecting Korea to the world. But life had a different plan. Years later, she found herself in Europe, running a trading company that exports European products to Korea, constantly traveling between exhibitions and meetings across the continent. The more she explored the global market, the more she realized how unique, beautiful and powerful Korean culture is—from the functionality and quality of Korean products to the elegance of the Korean language. She felt a growing desire to introduce that essence to a wider world, not just through commerce, but through a cultural lens.
“I always believed in Korea’s voice in the global market.”
Joon Hur began his career at a general trading company, a pathway common for young graduates ever since the country’s remarkable growth period kicked-off in the 1960s. For 20+ years, he worked with manufacturers exporting Korean products to international markets. As K-Beauty cemented itself on the world stage during the “Korean Wave”, he asked himself: "What role can I play in this new era?" The answer came naturally when he re-connected with Kim Tae Eun ( one of his university-mates from decades earlier in Seoul) . The opportunity to co-create a brand that could connect Korean skincare to the Middle East was born.
The Birth of HAN GLOW
With one partner in Paris and the other in Seoul, HAN GLOW was born through a shared belief: that beauty is more than skin deep—it is a cultural experience. In collaboration with trusted partners in Dubai, they founded HAN GLOW to be a new kind of platform: one that curates authentic, effective Korean cosmetics while introducing stories of Korean language, identity, and craftsmanship. What HAN GLOW Stands For
Han stands for Korea. Glow represents radiant, healthy skin. When pronounced in Korean, HAN GLOW sounds like "한글로" (Han-geul-lo)—which means "in Korean."
Our logo is inspired by the Korean character “한 (Han)”, stylized as a blooming flower. It symbolizes our wish to deliver petal-soft skin, graceful fragrance, and a naturally luminous glow—through curated products rooted in Korean culture.
🚀 This Is Just the Beginning
HAN GLOW is not just a store. It's a cultural bridge—connecting Korean creators with Middle Eastern beauty lovers. It’s about trust, transparency, and the kind of glow that starts with integrity and attention the detail.
